About Me

My name is Allyse Donarski, and I’m currently a senior at St. Joseph High School in Michigan. At school, my hobbies include reading chapters and chapters ahead in my Criminology textbook for Criminal Justice class, editing and laying out articles for our school news-magazine (which I am one of three editors for), and cramming every bit of Calculus knowledge I can into my blond little head for Advanced Placement Calculus AB. Out of school, strangely enough these hobbies don’t differ much.
I love reading nonfiction books about the many aspects of psychology, sociology, and criminology, keeping fit at the local gym, and shooting handguns. I’m not your run-of-the-mill teenage girl, as you may have guessed—but I do love to go dress shopping.
My sweet-spot in life is for sitting on the rocks of a fireplace, the embers only inches away from my back, with a hot mug of apple cider between my palms and a brand-new pair of socks on my feet. Never-before worn socks are my cherry pie. Speaking of which, I adore my momma’s sweet cherry pie.
I’d like to graduate a university with a double major in Criminology and Psychology, and then continue on to get my Master’s in Criminology at Rutgers University and a PhD in Psychology at Capella University. By the time I’m 30, my goal is to be a special agent for the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI in Quantico, VA.
I’m a driven individual with a strong work ethic and little interest in teenage norms. I tend to view the human race and its social norms as one would the lifestyle of prairie dogs on the Discovery Channel. All day, every day, I’m constantly observing, taking mental-notes, and learning from the behaviors I witness around me. I think this characteristic of mine helps in giving me the ability and credibility to write this blog.

As you read through my blog, The Crime Shrink, keep in mind I won’t be sugar coating details when it comes to homicide—so I hope you as my reader can keep your lunch down at gory details. I believe that when it comes to crime, the world deserves to know what’s REALLY happening. Life doesn't have a parent filter, and it certainly doesn't only come in pg-13. Crime gets harsh, and I think it’s time readers know it. So, on that note, I hope you enjoy my blog, The Crime Shrink.
